Tangmere Military Aviation Museum
In September 2018, we were pleased to be able to resurface the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum, close to our Head Office, just over the border in West Sussex.
The Tangmere Military Aviation Museum project represents the civil engineering capabilities of L.A. Kattenhorn & Partners, where we were able to offer our client an all-in service to complete both the groundworks and the surfacing packages. The brief for this project was to provide a practical and cost-effective scheme to allow better logistical access for the movement of the specialist aircraft on show to the public at the Museum, whilst also upgrading the existing drainage, reworking levels on the existing car park area, providing electrical connections for the aircraft’s engineer and increasing the car park capacity. The scheme demanded a respectful approach from the start especially when undertaking the extensive concrete breakout and muck away operations in order to appease the local residents and ensure minimal disruption to the museum at all times.
L.A. Kattenhorn & Partners worked closely with the management team of the museum and we are proud to have delivered this project successfully to the client on time and within budget.
